Dr. Zhe Shu
PostDoc, Gruppenleiter
Vita
Dr. Shu studied Optoelectronics at Huazhong University of Science and Technoloy, Wuhan, P.R. China. Afterwards, he received a full Master scholarship from Abbe School of Photonics to study Photonics in Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena (FSU Jena). During his Master thesis in Schubert-group of FSU Jena, he shifted his focus on printed and organic electronics. In 2012, he joined Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (IOF) as a research scientist for inkjet printing of functional materials for microfluidic lab-on-a-chip applications. In Fraunhofer IOF, he worked intensively on developing and integrating localized opto-electronic components such as micro-heaters, OLEDs/OLECs, micro-lenses via inkjet printing technology for disposable microfluidic lab-on-a-chip systems in FSU Jena. In the meantime, he obtained his PhD degree with the topic of inkjet printing organic light sources. Since 2018, he works as a PostDoc in IMTEK to further develop StarJet printing system for molten metal and advanced materials for various applications.
