Nadira Hadzic, M.Sc.

Nadira Hadzic

Background:

Nadira did her bachelor and master studies materials science and engineering at the Karlsruher Institute of Technology KIT. She wrote her bachelor's thesis on the "Alternative energy input in high-performance contact materials for vacuum switching technology" at the Institute of Applied Materials, Materials Science in the Physical Metallurgy Department (IAM-WK, PhM). Between her bachelor and master studies, she completed a one-year internship at Granta Design Ltd. in Cambridge, UK and was supporting the Education Team. During her studies in Karlsruhe, she worked for more than 4 years as a research assistant in the field of materialography at IAM-WK in PhM. She completed another internship at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM in Freiburg, where she worked on the analysis of microstructure data with Matlab and MTEX, as well as the merging of data with Matlab. She wrote her master's thesis on "High-resolution damage analysis and extrusion formation kinetics with ROCS microscopy" in collaboration with Fraunhofer IWM, the Chair of Bio- and Nanophotonics at IMTEK in Freiburg, and IAM-WBM Bio- and Material Mechanics at KIT.

Current main research areas:

Nadira has been working in the field of programmable metallic materials since 2020. Here she devotes herself to different manufacturing methods of such, as well as the characterization of their damage behavior during fatigue.
