Dr.-Ing. Danesh Ashouri Vajari
Dr.-Ing. Danesh Ashouri Vajari´s research focuses on design and fabrication on novel technologies which, on one hand, help to promote our understanding of neurological disorders, and on the other hand, aim to further advance the available methodologies to offer more accurate treatment possibilities.
Current research directions:
1. in vivo sensing principles for monitoring neurochemicals in rodent models: electrochemical and optical measurements
2. Design and development of hybrid multimodal deep brain stimulation probes for advanced brain research
3. Impact of surface modification/treatments on improving biocompatibility of neural implants
