Projects
Isothermal mediator probe assays (Iso M-Tech)
Project description
Performing nucleic acid analysis by means of mediator probe assays several advantages can be achieved compared to state-of-the-art methods: i) Reduction of costs by combination of unlabelled mediator probes with universal reporter oligonucleotides, which can be used for several different detection reactions.
ii) Based on mediator probe assays reaction cartridges or DNA microarrays can be set up with universal reporters and thus be fabricated at higher mass compared to sequence-specifically loaded reaction cartridges or DNA miyroarrays.
The project Iso M-Tech aims to combine these advantages with the possibility of an isthermal processing oft he amplification- and detection reaction.
