GErman-Canadian Co-operation on Kinetics and mass transport Optimization in PEM fuel cells (GECKO)
Project description
Within the project »GErman-Canadian Co-operation on Kinetics and mass transport Optimization in PEM fuel cells« (GECKO) we develop methods for the characterization and improvement of the cathode electrode of a low temperature PEM fuel cell. Within this interdisciplinary project the first step is to achieve a basic understanding of the transport processes within the complex electrode morphology. In the next step this understanding is used to improve existing electrode morphologies towards higher energy densities. This collaborative project is closely associated to the Canadian collaborative project CaRPE-FC and thereby contributes to the international scientific exchange.
