Project outline (en): The combination of measurement of different analytes, particularly combined markers from the proteome and interactome, is the next frontier for modern rational diagnostics. In the feasibility study (phase 1) the potential of emulsion coupling (EC) technology was demonstrated using the example of the HER2 / HER3 system. Further funding (phase 2) could improve the technology further providing significant improvements in the field of in-vitro diagnostics. In addition to the IVD application of the technology, EC has the potential to improve the basic understanding of the functions (phenotype) of cells in general.
