Projects
Optical concepts for single-cell printing of bacteria
Project description
Chlamydia is the most prevalent sexually transmitted disease (130M infections/year), and a major cause of preventable infertility in women.
Current CT diagnostics are laborious, costly and often unreliable. The European R&D project SOL-CT will develop a point-of-care solution for CT testing based on a single-cell mass spectrometer.
Our contribution to SOL-CT is to explore and develop new optical concepts enabling single-cell printing of small bacterial cells.
Start/End of project
01.01.2018 until 30.06.2020
