Curriculum Vitae

Foto Schott Dominik Jan Schott is currently doing his PhD at the Laboratory for Electrical Instrumentation in cooperation with the start-up company Telocate. He has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microsystem Engineering from the University of Freiburg.

Before his studies he completed a Microtechnologist apprenticeship specializing in semiconductor technology at Robert Bosch GmbH in Reutlingen in 2009.

From 2009 to 2011 he worked as a scientific assistant for Dr. M. Zimmer in the PTQ department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE). He implementated measuring device interfaces to cell computers and further developed a planning tool for the PV-cell production facility PVTEC, among others.

In 2011 he transferred to the Laboratory for Electrical Instrumentation, where he researched and wrote his Bachelor's Thesis in 2012. Until 2014 he also worked on wireless sensor nodes for structural monitoring of safety-critical infrastructure in the course of project AURIS.

From 2014 until 2015 Mr. Schott developed a friction prediction system for his Master's Thesis at Robert Bosch GmbH in Abstatt.

Bachelor: "Charakterisierung eines Sensors für berührungslose Durchflussmessung von hochviskosen Gemischen" (Characterization of a sensor for the contactless measurement of high-viscous mixture flows), supervised by Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Ostertag, examined by Prof. Dr. L.M. Reindl and Prof. Dr. J. Wöllenstein, 2012.

Master: "Design an construction of an optical sensor for the analysis of road conditions and friction prediction", supervised by Dr. Remigius Has, examined by Prof. Dr. L.M. Reindl and Prof. Dr. J. Wöllenstein, 2015.
