Project description
The “International Research Group” NAMIS (Nano and Micro Systems) is an international alliance of scientific institutes with an excellent position in the area of microsystems engineering. The founding partners are the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, France), the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS) of the University of Tokyo (Japan), the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland), the Technical Research Center of Finland VTT (Finland), the Seoul National University (SNU, Korea) as well as the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) of the University of Freiburg. In the meantime partners of following additional institutions have joined NAMIS: Tsinghua University (Taiwan), Tohoku University (Japan), Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal (Canada), Korean Institute of Machinery and Materials (Korea) as well as the University of Washington at Seattle (USA).
