Research

PD Dr. Pasluosta leads the Physiological Control System Group. PD Dr. Cristian Pasluosta´s research program focuses on applying pattern recognition and machine learning techniques for human motion analysis. His research has an emphasis on the recovery of motor functions and sensory feedback in amputee populations by stimulating the peripheral nervous system. His research program is divided into three major areas:

1. Analysis of the dynamics of neural and muscular signals in amputees and patients with neurological disorders.

2. Study of balance and postural control mechanisms in amputees and patients with neurological disorders.

3. Designing stimulation paradigms to restore partial motor functions and sensory feedback using neural interfaces.
