In this industrial collaboration, we are developing a new approach for an extremely robust laser diode/fiber coupling system which also allows simplified assembly with no need for active alignment processes. Using micromachined mounts and highly precise alignment features, a hybridization concept with high uniformity and stability, suitable for direct industrialization, has been designed and implemented.
