M. Sc. Daniel Vössing
PhD candidate
Curriculum Vitae
Daniel Vössing was born in Ratingen, Germany, in 1987.
From 2007 to 2012 he studied Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg. He finished his bachelor degree with the thesis “Untersuchungen zur Kontaktierung unterschiedlich erzeugter, hochdotierter Emitter” in 2011 and two years later his master degree with the thesis “Evaluierung industrierelevanter Prozessparameter für den Kontaktfeuerschritt siebgedruckter Vorderseiten-Silberkontakte von Siliciumsolarzellen”. Both his bachelor and his master thesis were completed at the Fraunhofer Institut for Solar Energy Systems ISE.
In the following year he worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer ISE. There, his work was related to metal front site contacts for crystalline silicon solar cells in general and to new printable copper contact systems in particular.
In December 2013 he joined the University of Freiburg as a PhD student of the graduate school “Energy Harvesting”, which is supported by “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG”, to develop a new kind of high efficiency solar cell for micro energy harvesting.
